Hi Gang!! I just got back last night from an awesome weekend in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. We went to Philly for our annual Benatar Ball thursday night and met up with both new and old friends from the Pat Benatar Fan Club which has grown very fast in the last year. We had a buffet style dinner, raffles, Benatar music throughout the night, dancing and a performance by Liz Aday who is a singer from Seattle WA. and is in a band called QuistAday. They opened for some of Pat Benatar's shows last year and this year.

On Friday afternoon, we got to the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ. for the afternoon soundcheck and Meet N Greet with the band. It was awesome seeing them again. Pat, Neil and the rest of the band members are so nice it's hard to believe. There were more than 170 members and their guests for this event, and it was more like seeing old friends the way Pat and Neil were goofing around with us. They really enjoy meeting the fans.

My wife and I had a great time meeting with them again. My wife told Pat "she's" got Neil now, and Pat had a good laugh over it:

We had group photos taken with them, and Neil kept his arm over my shoulder while still shaking hands with other members of the club. I'd pull away so he could meet the others and he'd pull me back keeping his arm over me. He like messing with us that way. I'll have more pictures as they are posted from the club as well as my own.

The concert that night was awesome.
Pat and Neil's daughter's group GLO also
performed three songs at one point during the show. They are very talented young ladies. Neil played his extented guitar riffs during "True Love" while walking up and down the isles between the crowd, and they loved it. The audience sang the lyrics to their favorites, and gave standing ovations for two new songs ("Girl" & "Please Don't Leave Me") from the up coming album.

Here's some pics from the concert:

One of my friends here in Florida and a member of the Benatar Fan Club is a free lance artist for different movie studios, Disney, Universal etc. painted a huge banner for the club. We all signed it and gave it to them at the Meet N Greet, and Pat had them bring it out to show the audience during the show. He's doing a jacket for me, how cool is that!!! LOL

I managed to get an early flight yesterday so I could get home in time for one of the "Pat Benatar: Behind The Music" episodes that were on last night. I thought it was very well done.

HE'S BACK!!!! Topcat and I missed ya! Sounds like you had fun. I watched the Pat Benatar-Behind The Music. I learned a few things. I had never realized she had been married before Neil. I always though Benatar was just a stage name.

You learn something new every day. Pat was married to Dennis Benatar at a young age. Dennis T. Benatar is a Line Producer/Production Manager/1st Asst. Director in Hollywood these days. He has worn many different hats for more than the movies here. These are just a small sampling of well known movies he has worked on, and there are a lot more.

"Tales From The Darkside" (1985) - First Asst. Director
"Fletch Lives" (1989) - Location Manager
"A league Of Their Own" (1991) - Location Manager
"Awakenings" (1990) - Location Manager

You'd be very welcomed to join the fan club Michael. When I joined in 1998 the online club (not related to the fan club on the record sleeves) was bearly three years old and we had about 350 members.
The fan club has picked up lots of new members in the past two years and we now have 1400 members, and growing with each concert city they perform at.
Membership to the club is free.
