Ok everyone..

the term 'lol' or 'laugh out loud' is way overused now. i'd love to have more options to describe when i'm joking or not.
we should think of some good alternatives.
anyone have any suggestions?

by the way, i loved bogie's idea of
"insert humor here", but it takes too much time typing it.

lol

I write ::snicker:: or Heh! when I'm sick of LOL. I admit I overuse LOL.

I've seen some just write in a *L* for laugh. Sometimes I use *maniacal laugh* after doing something devious

I have had a few conversations where I laugh so hard I start to cry. We finally had to use "TAR" for tears are rolling so we knew the other couldn't type until they stopped laughing. I guess that only works with live chats though. I'll have to think on this one!

these are all funny. but most people don't know what the abbreviations are except for *L* or ROTFLMAO.

i think i'll use a word that's not used all the time. like one of the ones bogie posted.

i like *giggle*

since i have the maturity of a 10 yr old.

Speaking of dictionaries, I bought a pocket one and on the back it says, *The correct way to spell words.* ---THANK GOD!

Hi all,
I use the word "Smile".
I think it covers all types of feelings, whether it be manical or devious or just funny! It's not offensive nor do I have to explain it to someone whom is new to abbreviations. I haven't had a TAR conversation ever or even a LMAO chat!
Hope to soon though! I have wit but maybe I lack a sense of humor? I hope that's all I'm lacking...I haven't checked lately!!! Smile!
