I'm looking for a album that I belive is an instrumental (though I thought I might have heard singing). I also remember someone telling me(but i'm not sure)that all the sounds and instruments were played by one person.
I don't know the artist, album, or songs.

what I do know is that it was in the 80's and that the first song on the album started off with the sound of water dripping and what sounded like someone walking on wet pavement at night. the two sounds soon began to blend in a rhythmic manner after which other sounds/instruments came in. and that every song after seem to flow into the next on the album.

I can also hum some of the song if that would be helpful, just tell me where to send it.

I know this is very vague any help would be great!!

hi nyarb01,

maybe it's Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield ??? It fits your description, I think.

Just a guess!

Art of Noise did instrumentals in the 80's. I don't know if any of their songs fit your description though.

A long shot but maybe it was a Pink Floyd album? Or maybe Brian Eno?

Brian Eno "music for airports"?. Maybe.... Tangerine Dream?. I'll check my collection looking for footsteps in a wet pavement...

Sounds to me like Jean-Michel Jarres "Magnetic Fields" or "The Concerts In China"...

Another artist which just came to my mind...Vangelis.

It's probably "Friends of Mr. Cairo", but since I'm not that much into Vangelis' outputs, I'm not really sure.

That would be 'TNT For The Brain', one heck of a good song. That was released around 1995, so that makes it an outside bet one would assume.
