Yesterday was a sad day for baseball fans in St. Louis as the wreckingball started to come down on Busch stadium. It was as dramatic as I thought it was going to be but still hard to watch the stadium go down blow by blow. THe original plans were to have the stadium imploded but with the fast work on the new Busch stadium coming up made it impossible to do so.

I have so many fond memories there. I still remember my first game there 30 years ago. I know it wasn't the best stadium in the league but it was home to many of us baseball fans here in St. Louis. A little tear came to my eye when the ball started crashing down.
