Ok this might not be exactally what "where are they now?" means but oh well...
Where are your 80's albums, posters, pins, magazines...?
Mine are at my mom's house. I have posters of Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Howard Jones and tons of John Taylor! I have my pins, mags, albums, pictures and old letters to Vilji there too. I am getting ready to move this month so I will get them out of her house and get to look at all of it again for the first time in like 13 or so years!Yeah!!!!!! I am sooo excited!

My albums are my life. I still have them at my place. As for the posters, all of the ones I had came with the albums and are still with them. Purple Rain, Controversy and Peter Criss all came with posters.

I don't think I have any of that stuff, unless it's somewhere at my mothers house, in Chicago!

My posters are in a protective tube in the closet. My record albums (all 500+ of them) are sitting on a bookshelf of mine in the living room and some in a milk crate. I don't have all my posters because I had given some to my sister at one time. I think the ones I have now are Duran Duran, Motley Crue, Billy Idol, and Charlie Sexton. The albums? Probably any 80's artist you could imagine.

They're at my mom's house....(aren't mom's wonderful? ) I figure they'd be safer there than here for some reason...Maybe someday, I'll go and get them and store them here at my house...

The only posters which had survived over the years of moving were the ones of Depeche Mode and Front 242 - most of them announcing concerts. On the other side, I never had decorated my chamber with posters that much...as a true male, I thought that was girl stuff .
Maybe as a kind of makeup, I had some posters of cars and bikes instead...

Coincidentally, I found some of my old records at MY mom's house just the other day! Two of them that my wife was very surprised at (based on my usually hard-rock tastes then)were Duran Duran's "Rio" and the "Flashdance" soundtrack. Hey, I'm a well-rounded guy!

My albums are all here with me - my singles are nearly all at my mum's place (she must really love me... ). I only have two proper posters and one is with Robert Smith and the other one with Mickey Rourke. I only have very few posters (from magazines) left - only a few of Tom Cruise (from Top Gun), River Phoenix (just loved him) and Christian Slater.....

I have all of my old 45 vinyl singles and LPs, as well as all of my old cassettes, in my bedroom closet. I managed to save some of the posters that I had plastered on my bedroom wall: my fave is a massive Madonna poster, with Madonna in a leopard spotted swimsuit and fishnet stockings... how 80s is that? I also have quite a few of my old pins around somewhere: Duran 2, Wham!, Culture Club, Madonna, I also have a couple of Smurf pins and a pin that says: "Just Say No", with the "No" crossed out and a "Yes" written on top!!!

I went through a phase where the walls over my bed were plastered with posters of teen stars so that there was no space at all. They're probably at my mom's place and some of them are in storage. A few months ago, i was at my father's place and found all my old records and notebooks from school which i always decorated with my favourite actors' names and stories plus notes to my friends and so on. It was really great seeing all of that again. I spent hours just looking at them and reminiscing.

I still have all of my LP's and 45's in a special box in my storage closet in the 2nd bedroom of our apartment. All of my cassettes and "cassingles" are in a plethora of hatboxes in my living room. Posters, I really didn't have a whole lot of those. My tchotckies, like shoelaces and such, are in a box also, marked, 80's.

I don't have any posters left, but I do have my albums on vinyl still. (Most in perfect condition.) I have Ratt, Maiden, Ozzy, Raven, Van Halen, Halloween, and some others.

Most of my 80's memorabilia is in my footlocker in my room. I have my LP's in a box out in the garage. All 500 or so cassettes are in cases in the office closet.

My computer room is a shrine to the 80's. All of my posters, my vinyl, my cassettes, etc. are in there. I have three shelves full of Popples, Strawberry Shortcake dolls, My Little Ponies, a Rainbow Brite doll, and a whole collection of SeaWees. There is a pillow person sitting on a rainbow mylar-covered beanbag in the corner. My Jem doll (but dressed as Jerrika) is in a doll stand on the desk, next to my favourite shadow lamp. On a desk shelf there are VHS cassettes of my favourite cartoons (Thundercats, The Smurfs, Jem & The Holograms, Rainbow Brite, and Gargoyles{I know, not 80's, so what? :p }). Above my monitor there are my She Ra dolls.

*sighs* :( I miss my computer room. But I'm having too much fun here to go back to it just yet. ;)

All of my 80's collection is here with me. I have a few articles from music magazines that i have come across from time to time. I keep them in a manila folder with my other entertainment articles from the 90's and 2000's. I have a few record/ music guides that i have accumulated over the years. They are invaluable, especially when looking up more obscure artists. My Lp's are in a box in my wardrobe. My 12" records are in a record cabinet. My tapes are in a shoebox, and my 45's are in a box also in my wardrobe. My 80's cd's are in a box on my bedroom floor seperate to all of my other genres of music that i like. I have a pretty old retro Cure poster, that has been sitting in my wardrobe for a while. If you want old clippings etc, look on e-bay because there is always shops or people selling this kind of thing.:thumb:

I forgot to mention the fact that I'm still collecting records and Cds.
My feeling is this. Never give up your quest for 80s music.
