Anyone remember this? I don't even know if it's early 80s or perhaps late 70s. It sounds a bit like upbeat Chicago, I think it might be called Suzanne or something??

The lyrics go, as above - 'I need to run-away, da da da, da dah, da dah, da dah' :hyper: - nb the da dah bits are done with a real old fashioned synth brass kind of sound.

If you've heard it, hopefully you'll know what I'm talking about - please help!

Maybe you are thinking of "Run Away" by the Eurythmics?

Thankx BrandyBlue but I don't think that's it... as I recall it's a guy singing. Just recalled a bit more, he's singing about someone called Suzanna like so (if your threshold for painfully bad attempts at representing vocal stylings using text is low, look away now):

Suzann-ah, Suzann-ah


He's really singing his little heart out, it's very special.

So (just to recap this monumental investigation) the runaway bit is the chorus and the above suzanna bit is the verse.
