RetroMan 9-20-01, 05:21 AM Ok, please don't laugh too much at this - it's a picture of me when I was just sixteen! a naive young man playing in clubs when I was under age and should been at home. Just look at my hilarious Duran Duran/mullet hairstyle! - I cringe when I look at this photo, but I'm sure some of you will get a good laugh out of it!!

Hey Retro.... first thing that popped into my mind was the Duran Duran song 'Hungry like the Wolf'! hehe
I think it would've been totally like Flock of Seaguls if you the bass that had no head stock on it, like the one Geddy Lee played in the 80's.

Oh the headless bass you're talking about is a Steinburger - a HUGELY popular bass in the mid eighties - Geddy is using one in the 'Distant Early Warning' video.

Kind of strange though, Retro....a "Duran Duran" hairdo, and a Blackie Lawless bass! (hint - switch to Ibanez!)
RetroMan 9-29-01, 12:09 AM He he yeah Pagan I reckon that Dude in Duran Duran had one of those big chunky woodgrain Ibanez basses, I remember them being all the rage back in the 80's!! - I'll have to look out for one! I'm a bit of a collector - I have 9 so far, and about to buy #10 - I'm going to be like Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap with his collection! LOL!
I used to be the same way....cut them down to 5. That's all I need for now. Two Ibanez's, Fender P, MusicMan Stingray and a Jackson.

I have a Fender USA deluxe P bass (like Paz's from Perfect Circle) and I actually like the Music Man better!??!
the others in my Nigel Tufnel collection are: a Ged Lee Rickenbacker 4003S, NJ B.C.Rich custom warlock (in photo), Gibson Thunderbird VI, '78 Fender Jazz, 80's Standard P bass, Warwick 5 string thumb bass and a Status graphte bass. after all this, have I got any money in the bank?? ...uh no I don't :D
