Geez Zel!:rolleyes How can you not know Slade did Cum On Feel The Noize? I am very surprised at you. Tsk Tsk Tsk!:lol
Ayla, you are a very smart person for knowing that one. Yes I remember those ones too now!:D
Blaziegirl 4-19-00, 08:30 PM Ok call me stupid, but who's Slade? :lol
Sal Collaziano 4-20-00, 04:22 AM Yeah, I don't know either! I'd love to hear that song!
Oh dear oh dear! You don't know who Slade is? I am very surprised at this. They are a 70s group, a very ugly looking one at that, not one good looking one among them!:) Had some very classic songs like the ones mentioned but mum's not here now so I can't tell you anymore of the songs right now nor can I remember the names of them. Try looking them up on the net anyway.
Sal Collaziano 4-21-00, 05:10 PM Hmm. I was never much into 70s music. In fact, I didn't really like music at that point.. The only songs I can really remember, at this moment, are Paint it Black and Satisfaction... :)
I love 70's music as well,and 60's...............but my fave is 80's.
Some of Slade's songs that you may know are Run Runaway, Mama weer all Crazy now,& My Oh My.
As far as bands in the 70's I liked Aerosmith,Boston,Supertramp,Pink Floyd,Sweet,Kiss,Alice Cooper........ Alot of these bands are still around.....I'll also admit that I liked some of the Disco and groups like ABBA, Village People, Boney M and Donna Summers :lol :rollin I know, I know............:lol

Oh those 70s! I loved KISS, Sweet, Status Quo, Suzi Quatro, Smokey. Remember Gary Glitter, Bay City Rollers, Meatloaf, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, 10cc, ELO and so on.....
Bay City Rollers :lol I was a BIG fan and have all their albums still!! Led Zep was another fave of mine. Suzi Quatro....I remember one song in particular that I liked....Lipstick.

crimelord1 4-05-02, 01:16 PM Slade did that song "Run, Runaway" in the 80's.
See Chameleon
Lying there in the sun
All things to everyone
Run, Runaway.
Anyhow, Did everyone know Oasis re-remade Cum on feel the Noize? It was on the B side of their Don't look back in Anger" single if I remember correctly?
transvamp 6-20-03, 04:09 AM I also love Disco music, infact ABBA and Sister Sledge were still going at the beginning of the 80's. They were excellent- you don't get pop music like them anymore.
My favourite cover in the 80's was Martika's loud, rocking and over the top cover of Carole King's "I Feel The Earth Move", it just sounds so ALIVE!
Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" was a cover too, it was originally by some female northern soul singer back in the 60's.
