I hope to God so!!! I miss them so much. I have not listened to the radio in over 10 yrs!!! Okay, who the heck am I? I am one of the leaders currently supporting a campaign for an exclusive heavy metal video channel. Our goal is to achieve an outlet where our metal artists no longer have to fight the industry to get their music heard.
A couple of days ago, I received an email from one of the Managers at Sanctuary along with the CEO and they are supportive of our campaign. This could very well get some of our guys back in front of the camera so they can promote themselves and their music.
We need this community to pull together and fight. Artists and fans are no longer considered two entities. We are one family coming together to claim what was taken from us. We have (7) artists so far that have signed. (20) Others have been contacted. We need this taken seriously. I have been in contact with just about all of our major labels. But in order for the Labels to get involved, we must show them that the demand is there. WE ARE SICK OF BEING FORCE FED A CERTAIN GENRE OF MUSIC BY THE INDUSTRY!!! Be sure to put something really JUICY in the comments. All the big dogs at our major labels have the link and I promise you, they are out there looking at what people are saying.
I have been proposing another idea to artist management. If we can successfully achieve this proposed channel, have our 80s artists, the ones that are still producing music, to take 2-3 clips from their “Live” DVD’s and have those put into music video format. Those music videos could be played in rotation on our channel. It's much cheaper for the artists and it would increase their CD AND DVD sales. Most importantly, it gets their newer music heard. :D

The Final Petition has already been faxed to Eric Sherman/Vh1 VP & Judy McGrath/CEO MTV Networks. I have also been in contact with Fuse. If we can get the demand for this channel, there might be something Jarvis can do for us and our artists.
