Hey. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew about the VoiceChat feature here. There is a live chatroom where you can use your microphone and talk with whoever else may be in there at the same time. When you click on the link to get there you'll be set to download a small program. It's from a reputable company (HearMe.com) and it only takes a short time. From then on in you'll (after you pick a screen name) be able to speak by holding down the F9 key (or clicking and holding "Talk"). Try it out sometime. I can't access it at work or I would be doing it now. :)

Hey. Has anyone used this yet?

I dont gots the stuff to get jacked up to your chat room. So i doubt i will have any luck talking to anyone using a mic. I can only do text which is the more boring thing a person can do. But oh well its not like i have alot to say.

Well i got a pentium computer but that doesnt matter. What does matter is i dont have a mic, when i get a mic then i will be able to chat.

Okay, well, you can get one at almost any electronics store for about $5.00 - the room is not very popular yet anyways... So don't worry about it. :|

Well dont worry it will come around anyday. People cant just be in here everyday someone must be smart enough to try the voice chat.

I just hope two people try it at the same time!! :o Only one person in there could be quite boring! :)

Ya one person will be speaking and the other will be typing so it will be like talking to someone who lost there voice cause they cant talk just type.

Imagine.. One day there will be a bunch of people in there with their finger on the F9 key just waiting to get their turn to say something. :) hehe

Ya and you got that echo noise when people are talking. I wish there was a free confernce service where people can talk. Like people call and talk.

Well, the echo depends on your setup; I think. I never have that problem when talking or listening...

Do you just need a microphone? Or a sound card too?

I am usually on while I am at work, and I am not allowed to have either...so I don't have either. At home I have a great sound card, but my husband took the microphone for his computer...And, I don't really feel like moving it if we're all not going to be on at the same time :) So, it's cool...maybe someday

Well, you can run into one for about 5 dollars at most electronics stores.. Ask for one for Christmas! hehe

Mirdonamy you can get these really cool long thin microphones to chat with really cheap. I got mine for about $4 at Radio Shack : ) We had to unplug ours though because my daughter realized she could sing LOUDLY into it because we are also hooked up to an amp (not good for the speakers) : )

Hehe. Your daughter is gonna be a singer, huh? Cool. hehe And yes, I have one of those microphones too.. It seems they come with most computers now.. They're very good, too..
