Wasn't it yesterday that we were friends?
Wasn't it yesterday that we were making amends?
Scheming and ruling, we had it all down,
Loving and living the niche we had found.
Friends we were, "together till the end!"
And when in trouble, a helping hand we would lend.
But that was yesterday, now it's today.
Broken promises erupted, I guess we all pay.
When the trust is forgotten, so is the friend.
Now the best we can offer is to start again.

That was beautiful,made me think of my Ex-girlfriend.When we broke up we remained friends,but lately her new friends are more important than her old ones.It's rough when you go through so much with someone only for them to turn their back on you.
Anyway,I really liked your poem.

Thanks Cultleader.....it is hard to lose a friend, huh? I wrote this poem just a couple of days ago. Helped me with what I was going through. Little did I know how therapeutic poetry was.

Yes,very theraputic.I write on an almost daily basis.Maybe I'll post some of my stuff.Most of it's about loss and can tend to be very depressing but it does help.
