Hey there everybody, This is my first time posting in this section of 80sXChange. The reason being, I live in Pakistan, and don't get to see many TV shows that you guys watch over there in US. But it just occured to me......... I can ask if there are any trekkies among you? I love Star Trek, I was not into it when the Original series was aired, I was too young then, but it was the Next Generation that got me into Star Trek. I never missed a single episode that was aired in Pakistan, I still love it to date! So any trekkies there? ;-) Ayesha

Well, I was never a huge Star Trek fan, but I always thought Captain Kirk and Mister Spock were pretty cool. hehe So I liked that old series. I watched it often, but amongst many other cool shows back in the 80's. All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Three's Company, Charlie's Angels, Little House on the Prairie.. I could go on for a long time.. I never got into the new Star Treks. But, I've watched a few and they are pretty good. Much more realistic than the old ones. BUT! I do miss the fighting music and Captain Kirk being a 'cool' captain. hehe Always hooking up with some woman and kicking alien ass constantly! :)

Wow most of those shows started in the late seventies but carried over into the 80s and I was old enough to watch them lol I loved All in the Family, Good Times, Jeffersons, Maude, Alice, Three's Company, Sanford and Son, King of Kensington, One Day At a Time, Fat Albert. : ) I kinda watched the origional Star Trek series but now watch occasionally on our Space Channel just for laughs. The movies were good though. I never really watched Next generation but I got right into Babylon 5. Ayesha tell us about the shows you did watch in the 80s. There's no reason why this place has to be totally western culture and I know one of the biggest movie production areas in the world comes from your little place on our planet. Tell us about it : )

I'm a big fan of the Trek series! I almost cried when those a**holes canceled DS9 :O( I love that show and all the characters & try not to miss any reruns I don't care how many times I've seen them. Next Generation is right up there with DS9. I have a hard time watching Voyager because it's on the same night as all of my husbands' shows are on, so until I get another TV I have to catch it in reruns!!!

Both my husband and I are BIG ST-TNG Fans. When we got married we walked into the recepton to the theme song from TNG!! Cost me 15.00 to buy the CD but it was worth it! There is a great website for trek fans, STAR TREK (http://www.startrek.com)
