I guess that most people recognize The Beloved as a Depeche Mode/PSB-clone due to their massive hit "Sweet Harmony" (from 1993), but actually, The Beloved has started as a dancefloor-oriented fourpiece in 1985.
On the site http://www.thebeloved.com/ , Jon Marsh is currently offering the tracks of the first fullsize album (before, they had released a few singles and an EP) which never was released due to troubles with the label Flim Flam as free .mp3-downloads.
The material is dancefloor as it was so typical for the second half of the 80s just before Acid House made it's way - nothing extraordinary, but also far from being a case for the trash can.
So take the chance of getting a whole 80's album - legally and for free!
