Just read the news at Scoops that WCW has released Buff Bagwell. If that's the case, you can be damn certain he'll be heading over to Vince. Buff and Vince have spoken in the past and he offered Buff quite a sweet deal should he ever decide to make the jump. WCW's burying themselves alive. First they let Jericho slip away (who actually wanted to stay with WCW at the time), then Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero, Saturn, and now this. Not to mention they let Kanyon go as well so there's another that could be making the jump. Lex Luger isn't far behind...he'll be handed his release soon too most likely. So now we have three major talents in the free agent pool...Vince must be licking his chops /ubb/smilies/laugh.gif
Add to all this the fact that it's been reported that Russo is planning to leave WCW after his 14 month contract is up. WCW might as well consider themselves finished. They'll never recover from this mess...

Very true. Will be interesting to watch and see what happens. I just read somewhere that both Luger and DDP have both been talking WWF recently. WCW is definately fighting a losing battle right now.

When they let Jericho go, I said they just let go a future World Champion...although it was unofficial, Jericho did win the world title once /ubb/smilies/smile.gif
Now I say it again. If Buff does indeed make the jump, he'll be an IC contender very quickly and if he lives up to his potential, an easy world champion.
About DDP. If WCW gives him his release, that'd be a nail in the coffin and would paint a really bad picture for WCW as a company. Page is and has always been, behind the company 100% and if he goes, what's that say about how far loyalty gets ya in WCW? Not only that, but he helps a lot of the incoming talent, most notably, Goldberg. The problem is, WCW is run by people who have PTC style mindsets ala a real life Steven Richards and the right to censor /ubb/smilies/mad.gif

You have a very good point there. From what I've heard they might not even have Goldberg much longer. Guess he's not happy with them right now. Will just have to watch and see what happens over the next few weeks. /ubb/smilies/rolleyes.gif Will be interesting though.

Yeah, Goldberg wants to be a good guy, but Russo wants him heel. I don't know if Goldberg will want to jump to Vince though. There's real life heat between Goldberg and Triple H....or rather, Goldberg's pissed at Triple H and HHH couldn't really give a care. Besides that, Goldberg is one of them "morally correct" people who don't like the WWF product all that much.
Oh, WCW just lost another talent. This time in the woman's division. Mona is headed over to the WWF. I don't know if anyone's seen her go, but that girl's got skills big time! When she gets in, she'll be a more than worthy contender for Lita. Which brings me to say...BIG congrats to Lita for finally getting the title which is rightfully hers /ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif

Not sure about Mona coming over or not. Heard alot of rumors about that, but never anything definate. We'll see. I loved watching Rock help Lita win the title last night. That was great. /ubb/smilies/smile.gif Can't wait to see what happens on Smackdown now.
