The WWF has left USA Networks and signed with Viacom (who owns such networks as TNN, MTV, and I believe UPN). Starting in September, no more RAW IS WAR on USA. Here's what the new deal basically does:


- RAW, LIVEWIRE, and SUPERSTARS on TNN

- SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT on MTV

- The extension of UPN's broadcast of WWF SmackDown! (Their deal was up at the end of the current season).

Wasn't Viacom just involved in some kind of major deal, a merger or buyout? If so, that's a company on the move. BTW, this could be the boost MTV needs http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't know what Viacom's been up to by themselves, just what's up with them and the WWF. They've also taken a 3% share in stock of WWFE. This will definitely help MTV with the superstars on board....Sunday Night Heat will bring them some solid numbers.

TNN on the other hand is going to skyrocket! Raw takes in about a 6-7 rating every Monday...(one rating point = about 938,000 homes) http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/eek.gif
