View Full Version : Neighbors from Hell
I was wondering if any of you have any bad experiences with neighbors or roommates?
I have some new neighbors who are driving me insane! They refuse to pick up their dogs poop (which reeeeally pisses me off), they keep putting their trash bags in MY trash can outside & over the weekend they had some visitors & ended up blocking my driveway for 3 hours! The husband is f*cking clueless & his wife is nasty to everyone she meets. Thankfully, they only live here in the summertime! But I don't know that I can handle another month & a half of this. They reside in Long Island during the winter months & for those of you familiar with the L.I. rich bitch socialite types, you know exactly what I'm dealing with. :D
Caligula 7-12-05, 04:34 PM The guy across the road from me looks like an overweight Willie Nelson and refuses to wear a shirt until October, but he's a nice guy.
Princess 7-12-05, 04:47 PM In our 1st house we had to deal with awful neighbors... I can go on and on about them but won't... We live on L.I. and know all too well about the rich bitch types... These people acted more like @ssholes than anything... We couldn't take it anymore and it wasn’t worth our price of peace so wound up moving to our 2nd house after only a few years there. We love it here
P.S. Where on L.I. are they from?
Miss INXS 7-12-05, 05:00 PM I was wondering if any of you have any bad experiences with neighbors or roommates?
Ah yes. I used to have a roommate that would rearrange my closet (to be nice or nosey? not sure there) & borrow personal items without asking me. She would eat a whole box of my cereal within 24 hours and wouldn't replace it. She would also break stuff and wouldn't even tell me about it till I confronted her. Many times I would come back from a long day & find her sister and boyfriend on MY bed -a big :tsk: as my bed is an item I consider quite private so I don't like people on it unless they are invited by ME or ask me first - and one time she had let them use one of my keyboards, which she knew I did not want anyone messing with. :spankin: Drove me absolutely insane. So...that was IT for me.
P.S. Where on L.I. are they from?
I have no clue...but I would imagine somewhere between Jackass Street & Asshole Avenue.
Princess 7-12-05, 05:16 PM Figured maybe they were my old neighbors :D

Miss INXS 7-12-05, 10:32 PM Will make them think twice about leaving the dog crap out!!
:mwaha: Yeah, no kidding! Maybe she needs to get one of those Jack-in-the box toys, stick it inside the garbage & close the lid. Then...POP!!!!!
Maybe one of them will have a heart attack. :mwaha:
Following obituaries will read:
"Died with her/his head stuck inside Mrs Rubbermaid's main opening!"
Good Vibes 7-13-05, 01:49 AM Considering how many different places I've lived in since I was 18, I've been pretty lucky with neighbors and their bullshit. Although, I was always game when I was having people over for a party at the same time they did. They would play bad music loud, I would play better music louder. :D
Oh yeah! We got those neighbors now in the upstairs apartment! (We're on the ground level). Give ya some examples of their "Antics":
Two parents and a teenage daughter live there.
-The teenager has boyfriends over, two had the nerve to "Hock a loogie" over their front balcony....right into our front walkway!
-I find at least four empty beer bottles just off my rear patio many times. If they got things they don't want "Fling it into Diofan's Patio!" :dammit:
- Did I mention the noise? God This teenager has got THE WORST TASTE IN MUSIC! All this gangbanger Rap sh*t! Gotten So bad that at one point My wife had a "Stereo War" of her own with her. (Imagine me coming home with Duran Duran BLARING on the stereo.)
-Daughter and Dad don't WALK down the stairs (Located next to our bedroom), they STOMP down the stairs.
-ALL THREE make INCREDIBLE NOISE like moving furniture around or stomping, sounds like our ceiling is gonna collapse!
-They INSIST on using the laundry facilities (Next door to our apartment) whenever I take a shower. The water goes from ICE COLD to RED HOT near INSTANTLY! (I think it's a shared Water heater).
-Dad thinks he's hot sh*t! Drives a beater VW Bug with West Coast Custom wheels. (You've got to see this car! I can't help but laugh at it). he always parks that beater WAY TOO CLOSE to my truck for comfort! I got to back it out real careful so as to avoid scratching my paint!
Well, That's all I can think of at the moment.
The most common problems I've had are not with neighbours, but those living on the floor below me. Not had too big problems where I live now, though. But had two of those somewhere else that gave me these problems: LOUD music (never any good music, just crap) or surround sound system emulating the volume of a real cinema. Some just don't get it, that they're not the only people in the universe. And what really gets me, is people like that tend to get really mad if you ask politely...

*snicker*
Or you could throw it in their car when they block your driveway...worked for me...the bastards never came back. :D
So far, I havent had any problems with my neighbors. They all pretty much keep to themselves, except on the weekend the one guy decides its fun to sit on his porch and blare Tejano.
But Im cool with it. I hide in my office and blare my music.
OK...here's what you do:
The dog poop....we had this problem, but we had no dog. My husband got a shovel, scooped it up, and flung it at the offender's porch. It smacked onto the door and the porch. Probably took more than an hour to clean, but I haven't had dog shit in my yard since.
The trash: Take the trash out of your can. Poke a few holes in the bag. Throw it in their yard. Leave a flyer under a small rock on their porch that advertises the local hardware store, and circle the trash cans with a highlighter. When they have to clean the yard a couple times, they'll get the picture. If they're that flippin' rich, they can afford a frickin' trash can.
If that doesn't work, you may have to start with the fish heads under the porch and the limburger cheese hidden under the car seat.

You know what's a sign of REALLY Bad taste? Picture sitting at a traffic light, Radio isn't even on in your vehicle, yet the guy behind you blaring the Rap sh*t in his car is making YOUR Mirrors and glass rattle! :hissy:
Now I like to hear the bass as much as the next guy. Let me give an example here...Take Pagan for example...He plays bass guitar, but the difference between his playing and the sh*t these ***holes play is simple.
Pagan's playing has something their's doesn't....RHYTHYM and MELODY! I swear these guy just blare up the bass to see how long it takes until their windows and the whole damned overgrown Go-cart falls apart! from the shock of the sound waves!
Caligula 7-13-05, 12:45 PM Oh I forgot about a few years ago when I rented to a murderer
I owned a duplex, lived in one side, rented the other, I had rented to the same lady for years, she asked me if she could get a roomate to help pay the bills, I said sure. That was in August. The labour day weekend, I'm out of town, I pull in the yard Monday and my house is surrounded with yellow police tape, I have no clue whats going on, but soon findout my house is being searched in a murder investigation.
So they put me in hotel for the evening paid for by the police (but the bastards made me pay for my own long distance calls lol).
Murders don't happen here too frequently, so when they do happen it's a media circus, My house was on the news, my neighbours were interviewed, one paper had a neighbour describe the suspect as over 6 feet tall over 200 pounds wearing glasses, thats me dammit, the suspect was 5'4 about 100 pounds.
The real murderer ended up getting drunk, getting picked up by a Gay guy and then killing him....so it became a hate crime,
once the mdeia calmed down, then the threats started, I'd get threatening things left in my mailbox. The COPS said not to worry whoever was doing it was too afraid to use violence. I said they aren't too afraid to go to my mailbox in the middle of the night.
I ended up dropping into the local Gay bar and having a meeting with the manager asking him if he wouldn't mind spreading around the word that I only rented to the guy for less than one month, that I have nothing against homosexuals , and that i even had a couple Village People and Barry Manilow CD's. I got invited to their Christmas party, and all trouble soon stopped, but it was horrible having the news and the curious swarming your yard

DJ Midas 7-13-05, 09:16 PM So far, I havent had any problems with my neighbors. They all pretty much keep to themselves, except on the weekend the one guy decides its fun to sit on his porch and blare Tejano.
Sounds like the neighbors behind us. Yesterday morning I heard their music at 5:30 AM. :p Luckily it's more faint now than it used to be. It seemed to have toned down a bit after my brother called the cops on them for throwing glass beer bottles over the fence and into our yard and shattering some in the pool. Not real fun to clean broken glass out of the bottom of your pool. They came over and apologized after the cops arrived at their house and since then we've had no problems...although they could've been neighborly a couple weeks ago and invited me to their fiesta, complete with piñata! :D
Darkhaven 7-13-05, 10:36 PM Everybody I live near has a pitbull or a rottweiler. Not only is there dogcrap everywhere, the gangsta idiots let their dogs wander around without their leases! All we hear about are dog attacks in this area. It's sickening.
80's fanatic 7-13-05, 11:43 PM Five monthes after I graduated from high school, I moved in with one of my 'best friends' from high school. Everything went smooth for about 5 and a half monthes, then all hell broke loose. We started fighting just about everyday. Then finally we had one huge blowout over money she said I owed her. ( Not.... I was all paid up, she was taking the money to buy things for the house that we DID NOT need) I left the house, because if I had stayed I would've ended up really hurting her bad. I went back two days later to get my stuff to move into another apartment, and she and her friends had moved all my stuff outside in the pouring rain the night before. Just about everything I owned was ruined and the stuff that wasn't she threw in the backyard dumpster. On top of all that she stole my state income tax check, that her boyfriend verified to me, she had. It was only $50 but that wasn't the point. I called the police and the post office and Nobody could help me :irked: I was told to take her to small claims court, but I couldn't because all my receipts I kept were thrown out by her. I would've lost my case. Needless to say, we don't talk anymore and when I see her my blood boils.... still..... after 20 years !!!! :argh:
I have been lucky. No annoying neighbors. I try to not be "neighborly". I don't want to make friends with them and then thy are always coming over. Where I live now, we have a corner lot and the house next door is a church. Couldn't ask for better neighbors.
PG, try calling the local court house and ask if there is something you can do about all the dog poo. As for their trash, dump it in their yard. :D
