Remember, romance comes in all sorts of movies, so I'll start the nominee list off:

-"Pretty In Pink"
-"16 Candles"
-"Victor/Victoria"
-"Moonstruck"
-"Fatal Attraction"
-"When Harry Met Sally..."
-"Tootsie"
-"A Fish Called Wanda"
-"Valley Girl"
-"Say Anything"
-"Little Shop Of Horrors"
-"The Muppets Take Manhattan" (Maybe this one's a stretch, but it's a possibility)
-"Blind Date"
-"Body Heat"
-"Crimes Of Passion"
-"Romancing The Stone"
-"Sid & Nancy"
-"The Year Of Living Dangerously"
-"Working Girl"
-"Trading Places"
-"The Hunger"
-"The Little Mermaid"

Bonus non-80s nominee ideas:

-"Basic Instinct"
-"Snow White & The Seven Dwarves"
-"Wayne's World"
-"Love Story"
-"Titanic"
-"Superman"
-"Cinderella"

So, anybody got anything else?

Sincerely,

John "outofplacechild" Kilduff

My favorite movie of all time!!!
I even have the soundtrack :o

Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymore, it is so classically beautiful if a bit fantastic with the plot.

I would add Reckless for 80s and Sleepless in Seattle for 90s.

I agree Jen, Christopher & Jane have great chemistry and the story is painfully believable. One of the best!

Here's some more ideas (a mix of 80s and non-80s):

-"Desperately Seeking Susan"
-"Casablanca"
-"Now, Voyager" (I've only seen the end of this Bette Davis movie, but it's amazingly romantic)
-"Network"
-"Flashdance"
-"Liquid Sky" (if romance can be defined as "pure sex and heroin"...note to self: get this on DVD)
-"Top Gun"
-"Krush Groove" (Blair Underwood, Run and Sheila E. in a hip-hop love triangle)
-"Airplane!" (Pretty unconventional, but the romance is there, in the form of Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty...Oh, and Otto, but that's a different story- ;) if you got that ref)
