"I Remember You" by Skid Row
"Hold On To The Nights" by Richard Marx
"Heaven" by Warrant (even tho' someone ruined this for me.)

If I think of more, I'll come back. :)

I´m just wondering to see no post of TC here, since she´s so fond of Love Classics. *LOL*

Hmm...there are certain songs of my favourite band, Depeche Mode - 'Stripped' (now that´s one TC surely would like :p), 'The Things You Said', 'Somebody', just to name a few.

Why does this bring back memories of school dances? :D Oh well - I just have to add the two songs that I first started slow dancing to:

Ebony & Ivory ~ Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder
Blue Eyes ~ Elton John

and also...

Still Loving You ~ The Scorpions
True ~ Spandau Ballet
Heaven ~ Bryan Adams
Careless Whisper ~ George Michael

I like some love songs. :) All the ones listed here are good except these super sappy ones Lady in Red, Heaven, The Captain Of Her Heart and the worst, When The Children Cry. :p

I really like(of the ones listed) Take My Breath Away. ;) Angel Eyes, Open Arms, Saving All My Love, True, Careless Whisper. Once I hear Stripped, I'm sure It will be a favorite! ;)

From the 80s? Maybe Hold Me Now by the Thompson Twins.

Or how about Japan's cover of Second That Emotion?

Best of all though would be Ketty Lester's 1962 Love Letters. ;)

oh that's sweet. :)
"hold me now"
great song.

I'm not familiar with the "love letters" one. I'll have to hear it sometime.

Okay...I´ll make it a DCD. :D
You don´t like 'The Captain Of Her Heart'? Aah, it´s just because you´re in fear of losing the dominant role... ;)

Oh come on you guys! Who didn't slow dance to the obvious! It was the last song of the night 11 minutes long - a bit of an awkward area because the music speeds up...

Stairway to Heaven. Our friend was a DJ he played this just so he could dance with his girlfriend at least once at the end of the night :)

Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting...
Bryan Adams - heaven
John Waite - Missing you
Jack Wagner - All I need
Honeydrippers - Sea of Love
:D

Forever Young - Alphaville

Is that the same "Love Letters" that was done by Elvis Presley?

His had these lyrics:
"Love Letters straight, from your heart
I memorize, every line
And I kiss the name, that you sign"

Didn't Rex Smith have a song titled "You Take My Breath Away"?

That's the one Sarg. I've read that Elvis covered it but I have no idea what it sounds like. Is it any good?

Try Ketty Lester's original. An incredible voice.

Yeah, he did! I had forgotten about Rex Smith! My sister was crazy about Rex and Rick Springfield in the early 80s, and she used to play "Take My Breath Away" all the time!

The two ballads by Journey are my two favorite songs by them. Hard to pick which is the better slow dance song... :) A couple of more songs that come to mind are When I See You Smile by Bad English and Angelia by Richard Marx (haven't heard this song in quite awhile).
