Is there any place out there in the vast Internet world that contains detailed charts (preferably weekly) of the Top 40 or Top 100 songs. I've checked Billboard and Radio & Records and they don't go back into the 80's. Any suggestions?

I think there is a site called "www.inthe80's.com" or something like that and it did post some kind of charts, I'm not sure if it was like monthly or yearly, but you could try that.

I have browsed through the charts linked at the top of the page and there are some good references there, but I am looking for more of a weekly listing. I guess I'm looking for a place to find songs that cracked the top 100 (or top 40) but weren't stellar hits.

Try going to About.com search engine and type in 80's. Yesterday, I had found an American Top 40 Tribute website. They might have some info.

The best I can tell you is go to Recordresearch.com it's the website for Joel Witburn's books. I have the book of Billboard hot 100 charts The 80's. It cost me around $80 but was well worth it, I use it all the time. You will have to order the book, they don't have them listed on the net.

us007ed,
If there is anything you need let me know. A friend of mine said he would help me (I'm relativaly new to computers) get the hardware to make mp3's. If you've read my other postings you know I have MANY hot 100 hits of the 80's.
