Ok...so I thought that I was finished with my christmas shopping...the day after Thanksgiving when I fought the crowds and put 95 % of christmas in to layaway.
Sunday afternoon..I go to pick it up. They say that I missed the last day and that it's been returned to the shelves. EXCUSE ME!! I show them my receipt and it says that it has to be picked up on or by the 22 of Dec. They claim that it must have been a computer error but they can refund my money.
It's not the point of the money! I had a nice DVD player ...if I go get it off the shelf now, I have to pay $20 extra!! I was able to get the GAMEBOY ADVANCES at the price that I had them for...BUT I HAD TO DRIVE 18 MILES to do it!
I wasn't able to get the momma cats with babies...(Got them for $20.00 each when they were regularly $35.00 ) Clothes, and misc items.
I am soo pizzed..not even funny. Imagine..having to practically start your shopping from scratch just a few days before christmas??

Make a noise and make them honor the former prices. Write directly to corporate if you have to! That is total BS! What a way to do business!

Yeah man... if you have a RECEIPT that actually says ON or BEFORE DECEMBER 22nd, you need to get some management involved!! That's bull crap. I'm all about patience and tolerance, but that's just wrong. :tsk:

Are you talking about the Fur Real cats that come with the kitten? I got one for my niece at Wal-Mart for $20 (regular price). That does suck about having to start shopping all over, but you need to hunt down the store manager and get your stuff back.

That is such total CRAP!!! Id be throwing a fit! Your receipt says the 22nd, I dont care if its an error...they should have caught it. Good luck!

They shouldn't do that. If your recietp says the 22nd, then your packages hould have still been in layaway

As someone who's worked retail for years, you should have asked for a manager. They are the only ones that can make a final decision on something. It would probably have been honored for you depending on the store.

The manager was the one who did it! I am going to get ahold of the main office...but I don't have the receipt now... :bigcry: I was so :grrr: at the :bs: that was going on..that I just pitched it as far as I could at the B****.
I know..............BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART!
I have gotten what all I could and can't be helped now. We've been under a winter storm warning since last night and is supposed to snow more tonight...luckily...my girls will be very happy with the gameboy advances..that's for sure! :)

Oh man, that totally sucks! I'm usually a nice, calm, complient person but crap like this gets me fired up and I'd have let her have it too! :D
It WAS their mistake THEY should have fixed it and honored you reciept. PERIOD What ever happened to the customer is ALWAYS right???
I will be SO glad when this Christmas is over. I love having 5 kids but at this time of year it SUCKS! They are all getting so greedy and expensive.
We had to get a gameboy advanced too and luckily we found a great deal and got one and a game too for $65. woohoo
I would have grabbed that manager and beat the shit out of him :hammer: That just isn't right!
