I am so glad the Crue is touring again with the original lineup! Their shows were always such a blast, whether they were having an on or off night talent-wise. I ordered my tickets already and am counting the days until March 3rd. This time around, I think I'll leave the spandex and aquanet at home! They are going to be on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight, in case anyone wants to check it out.

Okay, the performance on Kimmel really sucked! Vince can't sing, he sounded REALLY nasally, like he's pushing his voice or something. I'm not sure if that was Mick or a puppet either.

Um, how is that different than 80s era Crue?

Hell, I love motley Crue, and saw Vince Neil on his first solo tour. But, the man CAN NOT SING.

Have to agree with Jasper on this one PP....ever listen to the live album "Entertainment or Death"? I'm still in utter amazement that they released this album with the way Vince sounds on it.

PS - Someone want to move this thread to the glam/hard rock forum now? ;)

No, he never had a beautiful singing voice, but he had a sound that worked with the music (IMO). He just sounds really bad now, worse than he ever did before.

I wouldn't go see Crue now if somone paid my way. In the first place, Tommy Lee is an abusive spouse. Can't respect a man like that, regardless of how much talent he's supposed to have. In the second place, Fox News asked him and Sixx to comment about Dimebag's passing, and they said they didn't want to, because he was a friend, but then used that face time they got to talk about their new project. There, I said it. Y'all can start beating me up now. I'm prepared to take it.

I wouldn't beat you up about that post... I think it was VERY well stated & I even agree! :D

I finally had a chance to watch tape of the Kimmel performance, and I've got to agree-it SUCKED!! I hope they get their act together before the tour!! If not, I'll have to just enjoy the nostalgia of it all.

All i really saw on the Kimmel show was the interview. I fell asleep before they played. Anyway, What the F__K is up with Mick? He don't even look human. Does anyone know if he has some serious health problems other than the bone deal? Or is that causing him to look the way he does?

Ok I just saw Metal Mania 4 hours of videos with interviews with current Crue and was wondering the same thing about Mick.

He had hip replacement surgery and is up and walking on his own in 5 weeks. They said it's the fastest recovery in history for that operation.

I was wrapping Christmas presents watching it and they all seem in good spirits. Mick was cracking some great 1-liners in the back.

After seeing them do the interview I'm almost tempted to see them live, but after that Spike TV thing I probably won't. I saw them on the Theater of Pain tour with Autograph and the first Reunion show some years back. They were great on TOP, and not so great on the reunion.

I work on an Orthopedics ward at the hospital I work at, 5 weeks is about average for a hip replacement. Hell, you got 80 year olds who are up and around with a walker in about two days.

But then again, Mick is probably older than that now!
