Images in Vogue were a popular Canadian new wave band who had quite a few hits in such a short period of time. Which one is your favourite?

Call it Love......but it was a toss up between that and Lust for Love

Call it Love was my favorite.

Did you know Kevin Crompton of Images in Vogue went on to form Skinny Puppy with Don Gorgon (also a memeber of I in V). Kevin changed his name to Kevin Cey.

I don't think they really broke the US Market either. I only heard of them after learning it was Kevin Cey's first band (I was really into Skinny Puppy at the time). I couldn't believe he was in a new wave band so I bought a casseette of Images in Vogue off ebay.

They were pretty much one of the many "only in Canada" Canadian bands that existed in the 80's.

It's quite a shame they never broke the market outside of Canada. The kind of music they did was exactly the kind of music that was all the rage overseas

I posted in this thread before the hacker and those posts were lost so I'm re-posting.

I was and still am a HUGE fan of IIV. They did create some wonderful music and it's a shame that they are not still together. I had a hard time voting in the poll as lists my fav songs. I do have some updated info on IIV. In December 2004 they got together in Vancouver and shot a video for the song Look Me In the Eye. As of 2002 Dale Martindale, (lead singer of IIV) was with 69 Duster but they have since parted ways.

Jesus I hated them LOL. They used to hang around RPM (Toronto club) along with The Cult and hang out with the girls from my high school. I always figured if they really mattered they would have had better things to do.

My vote went to other. Fade Away is the one I like from all the songs I know by them. That are 3 to be exact, I downloaded the 3 free mp3's from their site (thanks Ava) and Fade Away is great real electronic music, just the way I like it :)

Dunno - I moved to Bermuda about 2 years ago. I suppose it's a marginally more interesting place than Windsor, but that's about all I know.

To the fine person who had only heard Call it Love, <shameless plug> drop by wave.101.net </plug> - you're likely to hear several songs by IIV over a day.
