The draw bridge would lower, the castle doors would swing open, and inside a giant hand would arrange the little wooden chairs to accomodate his guests.. us the viewers. Now, Look up. Waaaayyyy up... It's the Friendly Giant.

This was a classic Canadian kids show that ran on CBC Television from 1958-1985

The late Robert Homme, played the Friendly Giant, a giant who lived in a castle with his friends: Jerome the Giraffe and Rusty the Rooster

This was like the greatest kids show growing up. I was glued to the TV everytime it came on :thumb:

The show was good Monday Wednesdays and Fridays when he read stories, When the band played on Tuesdays and thursdays the show sucked.. BTW Mr Dressup was a lot better imho when i was a kid watching CBC mornings.

Wow .. did that ever bring back some memories. I always thought that the room with the little chairs in it looked to cozy with the fireplace. That was a great show and what a talented man.
