MAN ACCUSED OF BEATING & SLASHING DOG
A St. Clair County man is accused of beating a dog with a rubber mallet, then slashing its throat. The suspect had borrowed the dog from friends so he could breed him. It brings to tears to Debbie Cristel's eyes when she thinks about how someone savagely killed "Bubba", her neighbor's pet. Cristel often took care of the one-year old lab mix when his owner would come home late from work. She says he instantly became part of the family. 23-year-old Ryan Tolbert is accused of beating and then slashing bubba's throat. The attack happened November 9th at Tolbert's girlfriend's house in Caseyville. Darrin Starks, who's mother owned Bubba says Tolbert was an old family friend who they trusted. Tolbert told police he attacked the lab with a rubber mallet and kitchen knife because he became aggressive and bit his hand. Chief Roth says police found the dog's body in a green garbage bag near a dumpster after a witness to the attack called police. Cristel says bubba's owner is taking his pet's death hard. He thinks Tolbert needs to pay.

Let me be the first one in line to kick his nuts up into his throat. I would love 5 minutes with this bastard.

He should die just like the dog died, plain and simple. There is absolutely no reason for what he did, no excuse. and he should be shown no mercy.

Unfortunately, it will probably just be a fine and a few months in jail to compensate for the horrible suffering of another being.

WTF? It pisses me off to no end when I hear about people doing things like this to animals.How can you hurt or kill a puppy?Why couldnt he have just offed himself instead,he'd be doing us all a favor. :grrr:

*sigh* I shouldn't have opened this. I can't stand this kind of stuff. I bet this loser beats his wife/girlfriend/kids too. What kind of loose cannon does that to an animal just for being bit? :mad:

Obviously for me, who treats his retriever like one of the family and even brings him to work on occasion, this guy sickens me also and I'd love to have a few minutes with him

I'd like to lay this bastard out with one good punch, then turn him on his side, take his rubber mallet, hit him directly in the temple, and watch as he pees and craps himself for the last time. If you can't handle a larger dog, don't be around them. Get a hamster or something!
