I have yet to hear these remixes, but I do have a CD called "80s Now" by Vic Latino with 80s tunes remixed with a techno/trance sound. it is absolutely awesome.

Novaspace has a good beat, but lead singer could be better. All in alll song is good.
Groove Coverage sounds pretty good from the little I heard.
Eyeopener is horrible though, lead vocals have been sped up to much.

I'm sorry but I am such a brat when it comes to remakes! I don't care who you are or how talented you may be. I just hate hearing the same song remade over and over.

last good remake was by UB40.
I was surprised at work to find a 17yo singing "turning japanese"
she said the song was released last year, she had no idea it was a remake.

Oh brother, and I bet she knows ALL about it's true meaning too!
well, this isn't really a re-mix but rather a sample of sorts. so, is it just me or does the melody in that basement jaxx song "where's your head at" sound alot like Gary Numan's song M.E.? it almost sounds as if it were taken straight from the original source and maybe pitched up a bit. anyone else hear it or am i just going crazy?

No, leave remakes alone. If you are going to strip it down and remake it in a new and challenging way go for it.
I love dance music, but don't stick a dance beat under an old song, strip away the passion with bland vocals and kill it. Write your own bland, passionless song!
