I just found this great database program for organizing CD's. You simply put the CD in your cd-rom drive, and it will find all information (artist, tracklist and more) online and report to your database through CDDB (the online CD database). The program is Collectorz, and a trial program can be downloaded from www.collectorz.com (http://www.collectorz.com)

I know that some of you have a lot of CD's. I just passed the 4000 mark, so I had nightmares about typing in the information myself. I now have a complete database of every single track i own. The best $25 I have ever spent.

PS it also organizes MP3 files if that's how you store your music.

4000 CDs?!?! Holy nuts! Well, thanks for posting that link, anyway. I will surely need it one day - my collection is growing.. But for you, that $25.00 was way more than worth it! Very cool..

Half of them are singles but it's still a monster job to organize.

This program made it so easy to find stuff from the 80's, or that one song from that Italian compilation CD that I bought on a vacation 10 years ago. We all have a CD that we 'forgot' we had, so this is a nice way to keep them all organized.

I bet! If I get a chance, I will download it and organize my own collection. Although so far it's small and organized - I bet it's easier to start now than later... Thanks again. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif
