does anyone remembe Brother Beyond? They were a late 80's boy band who almost reached the top in the UK with their debut single 'The Harder I Try' in 1988
From 1988-1989, they had 5 UK top 40 hits:
The Harder I Try
He Ain't No Competition
Be My Twin
Can You Keep A Secret
Drive On

Wow, I had totally forgotten about Brother Beyond. I really liked their song "The Harder I Try". I remember reading an article about the band in Star Hits magazine back-in-the-day. (Gosh, how I miss Star and Smash Hits magazines!) Too bad they didn't reach the level of popularity in N. America that they experienced in the UK... :)

Only tune I remember by them was "Girl I Used To Know". I think it came out in 1990.
Like Bros, I used to hate them. :hammer:
But as was the case with Bros, I actually have grown to quite a few of their tracks 'The Harder I Try' was actually a half decent tune.
PS An ex of mine admitted that she the only reason she bought the Brother Beyond album was because of the cover. Now that's pretty sad!

There's no shame in that :)
I once bought the CD by 'Carmen Electra' because, well, have you seen her? HUBBA! HUBBA!

Why do I sense a 'but frankly who cares' undertone in that statement, God? :yesnod:
I think we should make a thread of "ALBUMS I BOUGHT BECAUSE OF THE COVER" thread  I'm guilty aswell :yesnod: Those vinylalbum covers were so big and inviting - nothing like a puny CD cover which you have to use a magnifying glass just to view the details on
