View Full Version : Keep those prayers and energies coming for our Florida Xchangers...
Hurricane Ivan is now set to strike the Florida Keys this Sunday night and carve a path straight up towards Orlando. :6ohboy:
Ivan is even stronger than Charley or Frances was. It's still a long way's off and is ALREADY a catagory FIVE storm. SUSTAINED winds are at 160 mph, with gusts approaching 200 mph reported, with hail and severe lightning at the eye. They're saying that it could possibly approach an unheard of catagory 6 before making landfall.
Luckily it's moving alot faster than Frances was, so it will pass through alot quicker. However, not only did this bastard f*ck up my going down there this weekend and make me reschedule, but now I have to worry my ass off about Kimmy again! :grrr:
Sweetie....you DO need to move the hell out of there....:(
BCRichRocker4JC 9-09-04, 03:27 PM I've been sending them up bro. And I agree, I was wondering if NY had been appealing to Kim?
I heard about this yesterday from my friend that lives there. I'm hoping it'll change its path and hit elsewhere. There's still time for that to happen.
SouthernImage 9-09-04, 03:39 PM WTF?? I must be doing something wrong. I keep waving my rain stick for it over here not over there. :irked:
I guess round 3 is coming in on Monday. :( (at least thats the last I heard)
You know I will send my positive thoughts their way. ;) :ghug:
This is just heartbreaking :( I don't know what to say..other then my thoughts and positive energies are with everyone down there. :)
AngelicR 9-09-04, 04:17 PM I'm hoping my instincts are correct and the storm will move and change its path. and avoid Florida all together.
My Prayers Are With Everyone,
Rachelle
PaperGirl 9-09-04, 04:26 PM *sigh* This is so frustrating! All those Floridians out of homes, and power, and now being hit again!
Kimmy, you guys stay safe, as do all you Florida XChangers! :ghug:
Damn..... enough is enough already http://fool.exler.ru/sm/kap.gifhttp://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Sigh.gif
Hang in there Floridians... my thoughts and prayers to all of you! :ghug:
Hipechik70 9-09-04, 04:37 PM Everyone in FL will be in my prayers. We have heat waves, and had an earthquake last night at 330am. Couldn't sleep, so I got the shaking of my life, my cat and I just held one another trough it. As far as I know, it was small, and no damage. Just scares you still, yo don’t expect it to hit. But we are no near the situation FL is in, may the lord be w/them and keep everyone safe!!!
Slayergrrl 9-09-04, 04:48 PM All of Florida is in my thoughts! My Family and Kim especially. Enough allready!!
I'm thinking about all of you Florida Xchangers and others. My prayers are with you. :rose:
5:00 update now has Ivan skirting the Western coast of Florida without making direct landfall....let's hope he keeps shifting West....

Ivan hit Grenada and destroyed 90% of the buildings on that island!!! And it is heading directly to Jamaica!!! They have already evacuated 500,000 people from Jamaica!!!! No word on casualties.
Either way Pagan I think you can safely say that it's gonna be mighty close for comfort.
I gotta bad feeling about this one I must admit. It seemed to be the one that all the experts slightly underestimated, and now it's looking like it's going to bite a large chunk out of our arses...
I hope that Ivan will leave this beautiful part of the USA and it's people well alone.....
Princess 9-09-04, 05:31 PM Florida alwasy has my prayers... I have a dear friend in Kissimee and in Orlando both towns close to each another and thier areas got hit hard last time.

Not to worry Jana....missed Puerto Rico entirely! :thumb:
Jamaica, however, is in deep shit....
My prayers are with Kim and her family :ghug: and everyone else who lives in Florida.

Metalfan83 9-10-04, 10:06 AM I think they said that the death toll was up to about 23, and that they are expecting more! :(
It's a good thing my AAS professor got the hell outta Jamiaca when she did. She's scared as hell, though, 'cause she still has family down there.
My energies to everyone. :ghug: Ivan needs a good kick up the ass. :spankin:
KimJoy69 9-10-04, 10:15 AM *siiiiiiiiiiiiigh* Thanks AGAIN, yall. :ghug: I'm just feeling rather DEFEATED right now. I'm SO tired of the anxiety, the stress, and the friggin rollercoaster. NY looks better and better... :D
Prefab Sprouter 9-10-04, 11:10 AM Hang in there Guys, we're praying for you and hopefully this will be the last one. If I could make one wish it would be to give Florida a break from this weather for at least 10 years.
Stay safe!
PunkyPower 9-10-04, 01:01 PM I hope everyone makes it through this one okay. I've had enough of the world's events lately - hurricanes, mudslides in China, forest fires in California, embassy bombings, hostage situations...enough already!! :(
PaperGirl 9-10-04, 02:38 PM I agree! I just wanna throw the entire world a big happy pill! :(
DC Rebel 9-10-04, 03:57 PM I hope that all of the Florida xchangers remain safe during this next round of severe weather.
