anyone have a calculator watch? I got mine when I was 13 and it was the first "real" watch I owned.

Hahah...my first watch was a Timex I remember it was all white. But Casio made calculator watches too, and my first job in 89...I worked at this whole sale discount store...and when I got bored I loved to play w/the watches...pushing all the buttons. I probably reset all of them...but oh well it was FUN! I should try to find one today, Ebay!

Yeah, I had one way back... it was actually something of a fad at one point... a lot of kids had 'em, then they just disappeared :lol:

I got my first calculator watch on Christmas '83. And I have one today.

Never had one - but I thought they were pretty damn trendy at the time :lol: But hey, I was 11 or so :D

I always wanted one so badly, I can even remember asking Santa for one a few times when I was a kid, but I never did get one :( I can also remember some kids being told not to bring them to school because we weren't allowed Calculators until High School.

My husband spotted one at the neighbor's just last week. He said he'd always wanted one and the neighbor gave it to him. :rollin:

I had one a few years back, but as often happens with watches I have, the connection to the wristrap broke.

My brother had one. They were neat to play with but only the nerds had them. :p

I used to see some of my friends having them, but I never wanted one.

I had a calculator watch. They were so hard to maintain.. you had to watch you didn't get it wet or accidentally bang your wrist on something :lol:

I always wanted one of those watches that had the TV remote control on it. I could have had so much fun with it in high school when the teacher would show film clips on the TV :lol:

I never had a calculator watch. I liked my Swatch watches better. :D

Oh man .. you brought back a memory! I remember saving up my paper route money, taking the bus an hour to the shopping mall and buying myself a calculator watch. I remember it being about 45$ (at 13 that's BIG time cash!!), it had the coolest sounding alarm and even had a little game. I was stylin at school on Monday .. until the school bully threw a piece of wood at me in Industrial Arts class where it so poignantly smashed the crystal display. That was that. I had it on at school for about 20 minutes. Believe it or not, the very last day of school (four years later) when we were all graduating in grade 11 the guy came up to me and handed me forty dollars and said 'sorry about the watch Gord'. Oh man .. that is a great memory. Thanks so much for making this thread.

LOL i had one that i got for real cheep. I remember about getting kicked out of class for using it. dumb thing hardly worked.

Yep, I had one that had a game on it where you had numbers scrolling across the screen and you had to press the corresponding number button before it made it to the other side. Used to have to take it off before tests in math classes.
