hmmm... I honestly can't really remember what I ate in the 80's.

But here is something I've researched for you, products that were introduced in the 1980's:

Fudge Covered Oreo were introduced in the 1980s.
1981, aspartame (Equal sugar)
1981, Prego spaghetti sauce
1981, Stouffer's Lean Cuisine
1982, Diet Coke
1982, Equal
1983, Nutrasweet
1984, Ben & Jerry's ice cream
1985, Cherry Coke
1985, New Coke
1985, Pop Secret microwave
popcorn
1986, Classic Coke
1987, Cherry 7-Up
1987, Nestlé Alpine White chocolate bar
1987, soy milk
1989, Symphony candy bar

And while Reese's pieces were introduced in 1978, they really became popular after ET (the movie) in 1980.

I remember eating alot of Jeno's Pizza Rolls (they can be found in the freezer section), but I don't know when they were *really* popular, might be just because I couldn't really cook very well that I made so many pizza rolls.

What I can tell you is the 80's had alot of different styles going on, anything from BIG hair to wild colored hair to shaved hair.

I think there was a time-period in the 1980's when quiche was popular, but probably mostly with adults who tried to eat gourmet. I never had quiche until a couple of weeks ago myself. lol

ET came out in 1982. Sorry. :)

Well really, the point I was trying to make was that Reese's Pieces really became popular for awhile after ET, I don't remember eating them much before then. Can you still get them actually, now that I think about it?

Tab cola was BIG in the 80's

Back to the Future.. Lou's Cafe 1955
Marty: Can I get a tab?
Lou: Tab? I can't give you a tab unless you order something
Marty: Ok, then can I get a Pepsi Free
Lou: You want a Pepsi pal, you're gonna pay for it!

Here's a little trick that works to achieve a quick "Flock of Seagulls" haircut WITHOUT cutting your hair!
COMB YOUR HAIR BACKWARDS! :thumb: I'm telling you this works! You will get a wild look! Comb it forward and to the center into a "point" then use a little hair spray to set! This really works Aweome if your a guy with a little longer than average hair that usually parts it in the center (Or a little off center) and combs it pretty much straight back! Girls with longer hair can twist it and stack it on top of there heads or pull it off to one side and hairspray the crap out of it! My friends and I did this one night before a party and EVERYONE thought we had had our hair cut and styled that way!

You can wear a short mini skirt, big flashy belt, leggings and leg warmers with your oversized off the shoulder sweater. Lots of jewelery and big blowdried hairsprayed hair. You can also try a bright color beret or gawdy hat and ur rocking :thumb:

Food, go with a microwave theme, cut up pizza pops into appetizers, pop popcorn, microwave pizza if you can find it. cruise the frozen food isle for nasty processed whatever and thats pretty 80s!

I think you need to invest in some blue or purple eyeshadow and/or mascara. Don't forget hot pink lip gloss. preferrably bubblegum flavor.
A party isn't a party without JOLT Cola. "Twice the Caffine! TWICE!!!"
***Good call with the Tab!***
Maybe get some Fruit Roll ups, Pop Rocks, Oooooo! Lick-a-Maid! :yesnod:
Good Luck w/ your party!

Pizza rolls and Doritos. Reese's Pieces. Funyuns. Slush Puppies. McDonald's. Taco Bell.
You're probably too young to drink so I don't recommend it, but Sun Country Cooler was HUGE. I don't even know if they still make it.
How to do an 80s hairstyle. Well, we washed it, then blew it dry on high. Took a curling iron and curled it away from the face, bangs, sides, all of it, then when it cooled, brushed it back away from the face, "feathering" it. Then followed with a can of Aqua Net so it wouldn't move.
Depending on when your party is, you could pick up a cheap Seventeen magazine or something similar from the 80s on Ebay. That'll give you lots of ideas.
Makeup. All colors, we looked like Toucan Sam. Blue eyeshadow, pink blush, lipgloss...never messed with the eyebrows. No one really did eyebrows then.
Avon Sweet Honesty perfume was big, as well as Giorgio Beverly Hills.
If you can find old Kleins or Vanderbilt jeans, there you go! Legwarmers. Feather earrings.
Pull up to the party on a moped!
