He was very popular in http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada in the 70's and in 1977, his third LP Longer Fuse finally broke him into the U.S. and UK charts with the lead single Sometimes When We Touch.

The song would remain his only hit in the UK, but his success however remains constant in http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canada racking up hit after hit into the 80's with albums such as 1981's Partial Surrender and 1983's Love in the Shadows, the latter which contained the 1983 http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/canFlag.gif Canadian hit Helpless.

"Can't We Try" is one of my favorites. And though I wouldn't have admitted it at the time, "Sometimes When We Touch" was when it came out.

ah yeah I do remember Dan Hill, but just for the two songs you mentioned: Sometimes when we touch and Can't we try. Such sad songs but I really liked both of them.

I remember Dan Hill, in fact I'm in the process of doing another "Duets" compilation and I've been looking for his duet of "Can't We Try" that he did (to my suprise) with Vonda Shepard. I want to add that song to the second volume of duets I'm going to do as soon as I pick up a few more songs.
