Isn't it amazing how much alike we all are? I mean, I belong to other messageboards and I don't feel like I have much in common with other people, but here it's totally different.

I used to think it was because most of us are around the same age...but now I am beginning to think it's more than that. Granted, the one thing we ALL have in common is our love for the 80's, however, I'm finding that most of our similarities go beyond just music & entertainment. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I believe the fact that we all share so many common interests is what helps to make the Xchange such an awesome place to spend time. For certain, we all have different tastes and opinions on various topics, but (most of the time) we are all able to express these differences in a polite manner! This place rocks! :clap:

Well I have at least 2 others I'm with, from another board, that have things in common with me. ( Punky and Black Oyster)

But when I came over here, DANG!!!! I think found a lot of people like me. :laugh: :laugh:

I've been to a few message boards in my time, and I have to say this is the first one that made me feel like family. Like any family, there will always be squabbles, but there's also good feelings too. I love being in this great disfunctional family. :D :lol:

Well ElectricYouth my nephew just turned 15 and although he was born in 1989 he is a true 80's music/Video fan too (I guess you could thank his uncle for that :D ). The only problem is that he is also in to the 21'st century Punk and still has no idea what it truly means to be punk!

BTW although he is only 15, he is one of the few people I consider to be one of my best friendsl. He is like so totally awesome/Tubular man :laugh: Very mature for his age and has only made ONE of the mistakes I made at that age THANK GOD and thank HUGH HEFFNER :tease:

The only other messages boards I've been on have just been to ask a question here and there. I cant imagine being a part of another one. I have no need or desire. This is definately home! :love:

But hey, I finally got up the nerve to post something and I haven't stopped since. lol Thanks for being cool with me. I don't have many of my friends from high school anymore (one or two), but it seems like everyone gets busy and their tastes change or whatever and you don't really have much to talk to one another about anymore, I feel like here, I have made some true friends. This place is a totally special site and there is no other site like it. Thats why people keep coming back. Because everyone here makes newbies feel welcome, dont flame and are in general nice.
