Hey, I listened to 80sAirwaves, but noticed that you got rid of the dialup stream. Is there any chance of bringing it back?

Brandon,

Yes, I tried to email you before we shut that down, because you contacted us when we first started to talk about it.

Unfortunately, transcoding our stream down from 56K to 24K is an expensive process and our listenership on dial-up was so small, compared to broadband, that we did it to save some cash. If we find another way to transcode our stream more affordably, we will certainly bring it back, but our listeners on our broadband were outnumbering dial-up by 20:1 on most days.

We are keeping our eyes peeled though!
Thanks for being our first post here on 80sxchange too!

Oh okay! I actually received an email from 80sAirwaves a week or two ago saying you were looking for a certain listener and asking about my IP address. I went to the 80sAirwaves website and when I went to the message board, it looked like it was hacked into.

I didn't respond to that particular email, because I wasn't sure if it was you or if it was the person who had hacked into the guestbook.

Nope, that was me! Not those damn script kiddies who keep screwing around with our guest book. bastards!

Well, that sucks. :( I would love to get broadband, but right now I can't afford it. Oh well.
