Remember those commercials in 1981 with William Shatner talking about the Commodore Vic-20, the "friendly computer", and how it was supposed to change the future of computing?

Why buy a video game system from Atari or Intellivision when you can invest in the Vic-20. Unkile games, it comes with it's own keyboard! For just under $300, you can own the future of computers that has real arcade excitement!

I used to have a Vic-20 (still have it actually) and i thought it was great. Well, you know, at the time, I was about 4 and anything that was moving that i was able to control excited me
The one thing i hated was you had to load the game cartridges into the back of the keyboard, and well getting them out was at times quite difficult.

Wow, it's amazing how far we've come with computers... It's kind of neat to look back & see what things used to look like.

I remember those. My father had one, and I played "Garden Wars" and some obscure adventure game on it. Great fun :)

I loved the game that came with the console. It was called cosmic cruncher. It was a pac-man clone that featured the Commodore logo as the alien eating pulsar chomping hero

Hmmm.... Can't remember it's name. It was something with an island, and pirates treasure.... Didn't go very far due to my lack in english skills at the time

Was that a text adventure with ASCII graphics? I remember playing a game like that on my VIC20. Kept me hooked for a long time.

Had to love the cassette player and resolution from your TV screen.
