If you want people to see when you're online, go to the "Preferences" link and set your preferences so that you show up. I know Roemello never shows up (for example). For the most part, cookies are no problem, but for me, it's basically a privacy thing. Some sites (doubleclick.com for example) place cookies on your system without you even knowing it and then take all the info they can about you for marketing purposes. Then there are some freakos who can get whatever passwords you have stored on them and such.
