Sal,
With more and more younger people getting interested in 80's music, and as many 80's artists that are recording new albums and touring this year, I was wondering if a forum for "80's Artists Tour Information & Reviews" could be a possibility.
The forum would be an announcement page to give tour dates & locations for 80's artists so that new fans, as well as the older fans can have the oportunity to see these concerts live. The "Topics" area for expressing their thoughts on the concert(s) they went to see.

It might be interesting to hear reviews of 80's artists concerts from a new generation of listeners who already like the music, but haven't experienced the artists live before. Any thoughts on this from anybody?

Are there enough members here going to concerts? If so, then that is a great idea. I haven't been to a concert in about 5 years, the last time Def Leppard was in Austin. Then again, it would be good to know if some of my favorite bands still got it live. Its worth a shot, how about it, Sal?

We already have a Concerts forum....I'm pretty sure that's what that forum is supposed to be for, isn't it?

Roemello is right.. We do have a section for this already. But maybe I should change the name from plain old concerts to 80's Artists Tour Information & Reviews - What do ya's think?

Yes, maybe that is what is needed only, the changing of the wording of the Forums and the descriptions they have just underneath them also maybe.

That works for me, as long as everybody knows that its for concert reviews.
I wanted to bring up this subject because there are a lot of concerts that are missed because people find out concert info too late to go, unless their a die hard fan of that arist.
I know, I've found out about concerts that I would have gone to but found out about them after the fact. And you always say... "Maybe I'll catch them NEXT YEAR!" in the meantime your bummed out because you missed it.

Good points, Sarg.. Okay, anyone else have any input on the title: 80s Artist Tour Info and Review to replace the current "Concerts" title?

That is a good title, Sal. I think if you put the word 'Concert' in front of review, you'll avoid future confusion. Although, you may be inviting multiple posting. For example, when I posted that Tesla was doing a minor US tour, I put it in the glam rock section (their genre of music). I could have put it in the rumor mill section also, because not all of those tour plans were confirmed or finalized. I could also have put it into the concerts section. Maybe I'm reading more into it than is needed. I just thought I would point that out to ya.

Yup, I hear your point about the posting in two different spots situation.. Hopefully, it doesn't become a problem.. I will change the name to 80s Artist Tour Info and Concert Review and see what happens...
