My first car was a '66 Marlin! Mine was teal and black...I loved it when it ran...When you go going over 75 the thing would start to porpoise up and down. It was so loud compared to my friends car that eveybody loved it even though it was not the best lookig car. And you could fit ten teenagers in it..I had a blast with it. Very large and nice back seats;)

I've visited that site at least twice already. :)

I want an AMX with a Rambleseat! :lol:

Thats what I was thinking! I remember seeing them everywhere when I was a kid. The pacers and gremlins always reminded me of bubblegum machines. :lol:

Now this just scares me! I was just thinking about the Gremlin and here they are.

American Motors was formed in 1954, as a result of the Nash-Hudson merger. (The Nash and Hudson nameplates were phased out by 1958.)

In late '69, that company's line of cars was finally known as AMC. Betwen 1954 and 1969, I think the cars built by American Motors went by two names--Rambler (1957-1965) and American (1965-1969)--before finally settling on AMC.

One of my uncles owned an AMC (it was either an Eagle or a Spirit) in the '80s.

In 1970, American Motors acquired Kaiser-Jeep, and shortened the name to simply Jeep.

And in 1987, the Chrysler Corporation acquired American Motors--and it became known as the Jeep/Eagle division.
