Morrissey, You Are the Quarry (* * * ) It has been seven years since Morrissey's last new CD, and what does the former Smiths frontman have to say for himself? Well, not surprisingly, a lot. He also has plenty to say about the world around him; and at a time when that world seems to make less and less sense, his mix of biting wit and forlorn but open-hearted longing can be strangely reassuring. Songs such as I Have Forgiven Jesus and America Is Not the World acknowledge the power of love in ways that Celine Dion never has or will. —Gardner

Surprisingly, he's getting radioplay around these areas. Good to know that even people who lack taste listen to good stuff once in a while :thumb:

I love this CD! It's been playing in my car for a few days now :thumb:

By the way - I don't know if I would consider that article a "review", it doesn't really say much about much.

I loved watching Morrissey sing songs from this release for that whole week that he was the guest musician on the now retired "Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn". He sounds judt as good today as he did in the 80's and 90's.

'First of the Gang to Die' is a killer track :thumb:
