William Hung is an awful singer, but he's got such heart, he really does--and from what I have read about him, he's extraordinarily intelligent. He's just very self-deluding!

i really don't understand america's infactuation with William Hung. It's almost pathetic to see him on, I don't know if they like him bc he's a nice guy or bc he's a dork who makes a fool out of himself. Again, only in the states!

I like the way he's sure with himself to get up there and atleast try!! Actually the other night when he was back on American Idol, my youngest daughter was dancing to him singing. Which I thought was so cute!! With whatever he decides to do with his career I wish him the best!!! :thumb:

I read the other day that William Hung has actually been offered a recording contract!!!!! LOL No word on whether or not he's accepted. Seems to be some smaller label wanting to take advantage of his sudden fame. ;)

I was noticing this too Val--"only in the States" We have a great country here, and it seems like people only see the stuff that seems strange or whatever. I know we aren't the most popular nation in the world right now, but...

Most of us are good people, and that more than likely includes William Hung. I say good for him--he had a lot of stones to get up there and do that,even though it was atrocious.

Lighten up about America--we aren't hatin' here, just relax and enjoy the fun!

I also have to agree that the "Again, only in The States" comment was VERY insulting. How you you like it if we said something mean spirited about Canada (which BTW I love). William Hung's horrible, but he's so genuine at the same time. There's something about him that makes me smile, even though he can't sing.
Now if only John Stevens wins I'll be happy. He's so cute. I have to root for the boy from East Amherst, NY. :)
