Particularly Monopol -- I have their album Welweit. Find it some of the finest songs of 80's electro that I've heard. Wondering if you could provide information, just anything about them. I'm out of luck... always without.

I like Nena, Falco, Hubert Kah, Peter Schilling, but I've never heard of the underground ones. Where can I listen to some of their music and did any of them have a hit?

Might be easier if one lived in Germany, getting hold of second hand records. Genetic Records re-released Silvia last year -- can also find Ausgang Verboten and Nine Circles (who had a smashing song, What's there left?) in their mailorder catalog. Aside from that....... non that can be outwardly suggested

The most popular song by an NDW band in Hellas would be
undoubtedly EVERY TIME (OHNE DICH) by MUENCHENER FREIHEIT
(aka FREIHEIT or MF) back 1986.
Late Falco was Austrian and he was never considered NDW, though
all these new wave bands & artists had many sound differences.
I myself am a big NENA fan (that is why I can't give you a more
objective opinion about her & the band).
My pick hit by an NDW act / artist would probably be a 1983 song by EXTRABREIT called KOKAIN,
featuring all the dark feelings one has, caught in the drug nightmare.

Nena and Falco I especially love. Has anyone heard Tanz Auf Dem Vulkans by Nena? Great song. I can't seem to remember the other Nena song that wasn't 99 Luftballons at the moment... :dammit: ...I'll get back to you on that one...
