View Full Version : Would You Call Her Crazy or a Die Hard Fan?
Iluvthe80s 2-10-04, 06:50 PM I love this group, but I don't think I could do what this woman is going to do:

I don't know if she's crazy, but I'm quite sure she's a die-hard Duran Duran fan.
Slayergrrl 2-10-04, 08:02 PM I've never missed a Slayer show. Whenever they play in Boston or within the New England states i'm there. :) Look at all of the Dead heads! They traveled from far and wide just to see the dead. So, no i don't think she's crazy. Just a really big fan.
Do ya think the bands have any idea of the adoration they receive? I wonder?
Rhelawen 2-10-04, 08:11 PM Now that's dedication...and a fist-full of cash too, no doubt.
DC Rebel 2-10-04, 11:00 PM I would not say that she is crazy. Just a big fan of the band.
80sTrivia 2-14-04, 06:41 AM I always said that the Duranies were the most loyal and steadfast of fans! :thumb:
ValleyGirl 2-14-04, 08:44 AM I can really understand where she's coming from...I would do the same thing for Def Leppard.
I have been accused of being the 'world's oldest groupie'..but then again, I'm not as old as that woman, so I don't have to wear that title :tease:

You "OLD" yeah Right... Lets don't Talk about Age in here please...
Roemello 2-14-04, 01:07 PM I could never do that.... I'd probably get sick of 'em listening to it day in and day out for all these years going to every single show :p
galaga-girl 2-14-04, 04:26 PM I can only WISH I had the money to go and see Bon Jovi in Concert - the buggers refuse to tour here!! I would love to travel to the US just to see them, but WDW is more important ;)
I have a friend who is into Duran Duran like that. She has seen them at least 20 times in the last 20 years. She is instantly recognized by the band members and has pictures of her with all of them. She even tells one story where she was in the lobby of a hotel in Vegas when Simon stepped off the elevator. He recognized her, grabbed her and gave her a big hug. Can you imagine that. She was with a group of her friends and they were all jealous.
Michael, you know of whom I'm speaking.
Tydestra 2-21-04, 04:34 PM  There's groupies and then there's Band-Aids; that lady is a band-aid. I can't complain about her though, I've gone to every Darkness gig in NY, planning to go to the UK for the summer fest, getting tixs for their 1st summer gig. I've spread the word about them for wks before they came state side.
