I am having serious trouble finding this song: kind of sappy, late 80's, female lead, very earnest, here's what I remember;

It seems like it may have been popular, but it was on a mix tape given to me, so maybe not. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay, this was not an easy one (for me anyway). Seems the song was written by fella called Martin Page. He's written songs for a number of people.

This particular track All For Love was recorded by Nancy Wilson (I'm guessing the Nancy Wilson from Heart) on the Say Anything soundtrack. This soundtrack was available on CD but is apparently deleted.

That is exactly the one...I actually had that soundtrack on tape for a while but lost it in college. The only thing I had was a mix tape with that song, but no liner for it.
