Okay gang...here's the scoop on a VERY busy start of 2001 for LIVESAY!

First, we'll be playing next Saturday the 13th at LAKESIDE in Smithtown. We were supposed to play the following Friday at a new club in Island Park called SLAM, but we've pushed that date back another week to the 26th. Why, you ask? Because we're playing on the 19th at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie NY....opening the show for RATT!

After the 26th show, we'll be at the Birch Hill in Old Bridge NJ on Friday February 4th, and sometime in February (the date's not set yet) we'll be opening the show at L'Amour in Brooklyn for ENUFF Z'NUFF.

We've also added some pyrotechnics to the live show. Things are definitely kicking for the band at the moment. Keep your fingers crossed...this may be the year that LIVESAY finally gets their due! Hope some of you NY/NJ Xchangers can make it to some of the shows! The 26th at SLAM will be a special one...as we'll be headlining that night! Hope to see you there!

Peace,
Pagan

We've had a good time opening for everyone we've played with Tina! They were all pretty nice to us. I can't remember a single band being idiots towards us. The list is extensive! Warrant, Sebastian Bach, Dio, Spread Eagle, Mr. Big, Dee Snider, etc, etc...they all were pretty cool.

Thanx Sal, but I'm not counting my chickens yet! In my 22 years in this business I've been thisclose to making it a few times, only to have the bottom fall out on me at the last moment. When my name's signed on a contract, then I'll be happy!

Hope you can make it to the show at SLAM on the 26th. That one will be a good one!

Hmm. How do you go about getting a contract? With the internet it should be easier these days, right? Any way I could help?

Hey Pagan! That's good to hear about your band. I'm new to this board and it seems like you guys are quite popular around your area. I live in Littleton, Colorado and I've played in bands for about the last ten years. The scene is kind of dull here. I think it's the same thing all over regarding original bands, but here in Denver, it's unusually bad. Denver is a sports town and it's hard to get people out to see original music. Plus, nobody wants to try anything new. We're trendy as hell, but also two years behind the rest of the world. Oh well, I'll stop ranting. Good luck. Any samples of your music on the web?

Nikki & BassGodd...seems Roem beat me to the punch in answering you about sound bytes! You can also order our CD "Darkest Hour" at Amazon.com, and you can get a free live video by following the instruction in another post of mine.

By the way...nice name BassGodd! Although I would reserve that name for the true bass "God"....Steve Harris! I can understand how Colorado wouldn't be happening for music, but don't feel bad. New York isn't exactly happening either at the moment unless you play rap music. We're aiming for overseas....

Peace,
Pagan

Well, Pagan. If you just changed your CD name to "Darkest Hour in the Hood", you'd be doing just fine here in New York. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Tell me about it! Oh, you're forgetting the tenny-boppers. Hehehe is okay if I cast the black plague on the teeny-poppers? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif C'mon I'm sort of doing a good deed, on you think of it.

And as for hip-hop, I live in the Bronx, I can't stand it! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//mad.gif

Pagan, just heard you guys on my newest Perris Records sampler.Loved the keyboard,it was catchy as hell.Wish the sample was longer.Good luck with the band.Looks like nu metal is in the way now. What a ****in' travesty that is.Hang in there!!!

We're on the Perris Records sampler? Do you know what song they put on?

There's a couple of MP3's in the "featured artists" section of this site, if you want to check out full songs.

2-11-01, 07:52 AM
Pagan,I'm surprised you didn't know that.I guess they're not too informative over there at Perris. No song title listed. The sample is about a minute long. It's cut off before the chorus (bummer).Great, catchy keyboard riff during entire sample is what I remember most.

There's so much stuff going on about us that it's hard for me to keep track of it all. I'm guessing that the song is the title track. Like I said, you can get the full version in the "Featured Artists" section.
