This is actually a 90's band, not to be confused with the infamous Marilyn! Mansun is a British brit-pop band. They sound alot different than other brit-poppers like Oasis, Pulp & Blur. I always refer to them as the second generation brit-poppers along with another great band "Gay Dad". There is currently two albums out - Attack Of The Great Lantern and Six. AOTGL is something as rare as a 90's concept album - an ongoing story of Mavis and her life. This is definately an album worth some attention, especially for people living outside of Europe. They had minor hits like "Wide Open Space" and "Closed For Business". All their singles are released in two parts as EP's. They all contains unreleased tracks and lots of them are worth getting. A third album is ready for release this summer. Until then I strongly recommend britpop fans to give Mansun a chance. And best thing is: They are even better live!!

I love Attack of the Gray Lantern. As soon as I heard "Wide Open Space" I rushed out and bought the CD, and was not disappointed. I need to pick up the other stuff but too many CDs and not enough money...
