Is it true that A-Ha have got new material out? And if so is it any good? If anyone has heard any I would be interested to hear your opinion, although it'll have to be something special to top Take On Me!

Yes it is true. I just received the promo-package of the new A-Ha album "Minor Earth, Major Sky". And believe it or not, it sounds like A-Ha. This album is not going to be a HUGE comeback album, but tracks like "Summer Moved On" (the first single of the album) and the title track are very melodic and have alot of depth. I have no idea when it will be released in the US, but it is scheduled for release on May 29. in the U.K. The 3 tr. cd-single of "Summer Moved On" is out in the U.K. May. 15. You can pre-order the cd's from www.dotmusic.uk (http://www.dotmusic.uk)
I hope this was a help! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well, unfortunately "Take on me" is what the band is "known" for here in the U.S., but I must tell you they are having tremendous success currently internationally! Just last weekend I had the great adventure of traveling to Oslo, Norway to see them perform live in concert in support of their recent album "Minor Earth, Major Sky"...(great title isn't it?) The show was phenomenal with stellar reviews all around. The show was broadcast live over the Internet with over 3,000,000 million hits to the site that Mercedes-Benz sponsored.
They are still airing the concert at:

It was truly magical and wonderful to be apart of the
sell-out crowd that appreciated the music I've been
loving for some 15 years now.
If you get a chance, check out the their new stuff...
especially a song called "Velvet". It is wonderful and is included on the movie soundtrack to Liv Tyler's new flick "One Night At McCool's", released to theaters at the end of this month.
Long live a-ha!
