But we hardly knew them..*sigh*. We will always remember their song "Love plus one" here in the US. Nick Heyward went on to lead a solo career in the UK.

Did you know that the 'Nobody's Fool' clip features a very young Patsy Kensit? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

OH!! I knew that was her!! I saw it on Countdown - they're out the front of an old English home, and they're wearing riding gear. Patsy Kensit! ah ha!

Love Plus One is also a great song - it's a real 'cheer me up' kind of song http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey Y'all

Haircut 100 had a great song called "Love Plus One". I think they had another single, but I'm not sure what it was called, does anyone remember? I think "Love Plus One" was the bigger of the two and in my mind they're a one hit wonder.

The other single you're probably thinking of is "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)". This was actually released first and charted at #101 in USA/#4 in UK. "Love Plus One" soon followed; it went to #37 in USA/#3 in UK. "Fantastic Day" also charted in the UK, reaching #9 there. All three tracks came off the 1982 album, Pelican West.

I liked Haircut 100, but In my humble opinion Nick Heyward released by far and away his best song as a solo artist - 'Blue Hat For A Blue Day' in 1983 which reached #15 in the UK chart.

One of my all time favs!

That's the single I was thinking of TV Diva, thanks for the information. I used to have the "Pelican West" cassette. I can't find it anywhere now!

I burned those two songs off of BearShare not too long ago. I love going out there and finding all of the bizarre stuff that no one really puts onto the compilation CDs.

I am currently listening to Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl) by Haircut 100. It is such an awesome tune!!! I remember Love Plus One also. Did these guys do any other cool music?

I liked the three or four Haircut 100 songs that charted. I think Love Plus One is my favorite.

I think i read somewhere that they are a scottish band, is that right? VH1 Uk often played their "Fantastic Day" video, but i never saw any other videos. I know "Love plus one" as well because it is on various 80s sampler.

Yeah I loved Love plus One

where do we go from here?

They made god pop music. Another band in this vein was "Modern Romance" who had some good hits too!
