Hey Y'all,
I was wondering if the Dead Milkmen's 1988 single "Punk Rock Girl" was their only hit? Does anyone remember this fun ditty? I used to have the cassette single. Does anyone know where I could get it BESIDES a Dead Milkmen album, like on a compilation or something?

How can I forget. I really liked this song. My brother used to go nuts when they played this tune on MTV or on the radio.

I have a greatest hits of theirs called "Death rides a pale cow" (a parody of the bible story where death rides a pale horse) I don't think "Takin' retards to the zoo" was ever released as a single. I do have it on their album "Big lizard in my back yard". These guys are great! Don't forget their big "underground" hit "Bitchin' Camero". I have done "Punk rock girl" on kareoke before LOL :)

My roommate from that decade, actually went to a concert and brought back a t-shirt. Wonder if she still has it. LOL

I do! They have been showing the video on VH-1 Classic lately. Do you remember the song "Bitchen Camaro"? I liked that one too!
As far as compilations, all I could find was these at the Dead Milkmen website.Dead Milkmen discography (http://www.deadmilkmen.com/discography.html) They list some compilation albums that was released by Restless Records and at least 2 or 3 have "Punk Rock Girl".
