View Full Version : Gonna Get A New Star!!!
LOSTNTHE80S 12-03-03, 08:16 PM To all of you that do Ebay...I'm about to get my RED star! You know what that means! :) I've been there over 4 years, and have had over 1800 transactions...not everyone leaves feedback and a person can leave many feedback but only 1 counts per person (to keep from friends padding the FB) This means my feedback rating will be...1000!! I'll miss that purple star though :)
Good going Jana..... I think. I think I've bought stuff on there twice! LOL So, 1800 transactions is kinda scary Jana. lol ;) As long as it makes you happy, that's what counts. :)
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 10:00 AM :) I woke up this morning and it happened overnight! Plus..I got a new pos. fb this morning already so it's 1,001 !
Doesn't take too much to please me does it??? I need a life
DC Rebel 12-04-03, 10:41 AM 1800 transactions? I am only 1785 behind you then.
Congratulations on the new star.
Wow. I only bought something on ebay once (my Juno synth). You must spend your whole day on it :)
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 02:03 PM This is what I do Andete...I don't spend all day on it but keep a pretty good assortment of items up all the time. I usually have between 40-68 auctions going at once.
I don't work outside of the home...I make as much or more doing this than I would at a part time job. Also..this allows me to be at home to do my work, plus I do many things down at the school and it gives me a good feeling to know that if one of my children are sick or hurt...that I'm a 2 minute drive away ...instead of having to ask a boss to let me off work or make other arrangements ...
YELLOW STAR: 10-49 FB
BLUE STAR: 50-99
TURQUOISE STAR: 100-499
PURPLE STAR: 500-999
RED STAR: 1000-4999
...........so this is a milestone..I'll have to wait a little while longer before getting my next one! :)
1 transaction here....for the DVDs of the entire game broadcasts of both Dolphins' superbowl victories.....that's it.
That place is too dangerous for someone like me....type in a search for "Iron Maiden" and you'll see why!
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 02:21 PM Did you know that once I found a Livesay cd on there? :)
I remember someone telling me that a copy of the first Livesay CD was on there from Japan....but since I wasn't on that one I was like "LA LA LA LA...I can't hear you!!!"
:laugh::lol::laugh:
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 02:36 PM  Just got a David Spade visual in my head when I read that!
Congrats, Jana. I've never had a transaction on Ebay....at least not yet. :)
I only have a yellow star :( I think I have like 33 positive feedbacks.. but about 45 transactions.. I hate it when people don't leave feedback! I have 1 negative  because I won a crib bumper and the lady sent it to a different auction winner.. took 2 months to alert me of what happened.. she decided to let the other party KEEP my bumper and gave me a refund.. but it was a waste of time for me.. and I was in need of a bumper.. I would have bought one from someone else had she told me sooner that it was sent to someone else by mistake.. so I gave her a negative feedback.. and she returned the favor  Even though I did nothing worng.. a word of advice.. no matter HOW bad a transaction goes.. NEVER leave a negative feedback...they can turn around and do the same to you.. and theres no way to get rid of it.
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 06:12 PM Wrong! LOL! I beat the odds on ebay and got one removed without having to pay the $20 to Square trade...the lady didn't have valid contact info and I told them about it. Out of over 1800 transactions..I do have 17 negs (3 from one person which really really sux) and 4 nuetrals (1 from a guy that bought an untested item and then complained about it). ..so that's not tooo bad. I can say that out of those....most are retalitory but anymore..when you get a pretty good tally of feedback..people will notice that there was more than likely some sort of problem going on with the other person.
That's too bad about your neg...she was at fault..but all in all..it's a pretty good place to trade and do business...alot better than some other auction sites..IMO :)
LOSTNTHE80S 12-04-03, 08:50 PM A big percentage of the people on Ebay are honest and on the up and up...you run into a couple of looneys and it would scare you. I personally know of someone who chose not to take over his father's jewelry store and decided to sell on Ebay instead...he's making much more than he would at the store!
