Really? That's a shame. I recently read that he was going to record two standards for a film, "Making Whoopee" and something else. He has had some great music throughout the years. What will Disney do now!? : )

Oh no!!! I hope that Sir Elton changes his mind, because what will the pop music world do without him? He writes some of the best songs in the business (along with writing partner Bernie Taupin)...

I can't believe it. I wouldn't count him out just yet though. Think about how many times the The Rolling Stones have said they will not tour anymore or make any more music. They have been saying that off and on since 1981. So, seeing is believing that Elton John will quit just yet.

I can't say I'll miss him. The Eminem duet turned me off from his music forever. Some saw it as an olive branch...I saw it as a back-stabbing.

I can't say I was totally turned off to him because of it, but that thing with Eminem was a disgrace...

In any case, his talent will be missed if he does indeed call it quits...

He's a very talented songwriter so even if Sir Elton John does call it quits he could always write songs for other artists.

I have to wonder though, if Elton is retiring due to health reasons.

The Big A perhaps?

It will be interesting to see if he really does retire. Surely song writing must be in his blood. But what else has he got to accomplish? He's done it all and does he really want to try for yet another decade of hits?

Maybe its in his blood but maybe he is tired. Maybe he'd like to fade a little into the background and live a normal...wait a minute this is Elton John the man with 1000s of pairs of glasses depending on his mood.

I hope he doesn't retire either. His last work with Disney for the Road to Eldorado was some of his finest. I think one more generation deserves to slow dance with some of his love songs :)

The Big A perhaps-Said by Recker

Usually, they can cure arthritis and acne. Oh, that A! (Gilda Radner voice) Never mind!
