I didn't know where to fit this, so probably, ther's already been talk of this someplace else. Well since it's a brit band ( Queen ) i guess it was not popular over here, but however .... I didn't listen to them for long, but alot of their songs were very catchy. anyone knows of " bohemian rhapsody " ( the car scene in Wayne's world, opera like thing ) " We will rock ya " " Show must go on " ? Again , not my type of music, but had a sing along quality to it ! Fred was also known fer bein' one of the first to fall from AIDS in Europe and wearing extravagant ..... gears...... Well if that's not 80s, whatizzat ?

Queen is very well known. They are one of the greatest and most talented bands of all time.
Freddie Mercury was a frickin' musical genius!

He was a great singer. R.I.P. Freddie.
They also had other hits over here with We Are The Champions and Another One Bites The Dust. I loved Bohemian Rhapsody!
I still listen to the Highlander soundtrack every once in a while. His voice was unique. The Show Must Go On was a wonderful way of saying goodbye to his fans - shortly before he died.
R.I.P. Freddie.

Queen and Mercury were great, but am I the only one who feels a little guilty listening to their music? (In regards to Sun City)
Sincerely,

Sun City: an exclusive whites-only resort in apartheid Africa. Many famous personalities performed there and were accused of supporting apartheid. Queen was one of them, and many others got on a blacklist as well, from Tina Turner, Ray Charles and Bette Midler to Goldie Hawn, Linda Ronstadt and Frank Sinatra. Queen lost a lot of fans in the USA after playing Sun City, though they gained the fans back after Mercury's death.

I know what Sun City was, but I wouldn't feel guilty about it today. I don't see Queen as a particularly political band. So I honestly wouldn't bother to think about it.
